Get Involved

ExTV accepts work by students, faculty, staff and alumni of SAIC on a continual basis. Your work will be considered for curated programming on the ExTV website, SAIC monitors around the SAIC campus, local cable access television, and our annual Video ExChange compilation of the year's best works.

We accept film, video, animation, new media, machinima, documentation of performance or installation, and all other moving image work.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR WORK:
  • We accept work on an ongoing basis.  Download the ExTV agreement below and follow the guidelines to submit a piece or multiple pieces.
  • Is there something you want to see? A program you'd like to put together? Use ExTV as an exhibition space. Send us an email with your idea at outreach@saic.edu or alternately...

  • Propose and curate your own program! We encourage students to get involved with curating and programming work at the school to be displayed on our website, on campus monitors, or in a screening.  Download the Public Programming Form (for campus monitors and screenings) or the Online Exhibition Form (for exhibitions hosted on our website).

  • Post your reviews of work and artist interviews on our blog. To find out how to become a guest blogger write to outreach@saic.edu

  • Tell us what you think of work in galleries on campus, around Chicago, and around the world. Is there an artist, curator, art historian, administrator (or anyone else in the art field) we should know about? Tape your conversation and we'll share it on our website and iTunesU. If you're not sure of your video skills, attend an extv workshop to get the basics down!

  • And look out for the call for entries for the Undergraduate Film and Video Festival for Fall 2010.
